Born in Trabzon in 1949, Erdoğdu Öz graduated from the Department of Public Finance and Accounting at the Istanbul Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences in 1971. During his 25-year career in the Tax Administration, he served as Tax Office Director and Revenue Director in İzmit, Balıkesir, and Istanbul, before retiring in 1997.
During his public service, Erdoğdu Öz completed his master’s degree in Fiscal Law at Marmara University and also fulfilled his doctoral coursework in the same field at the same institution. He also worked for a period as a lecturer. Erdoğdu Öz is the author of two books on Corporate Tax and the Law on the Collection Procedure of Public Receivables, as well as numerous professional articles published in various journals. He has also participated as a speaker in many training programs and seminars.
